Professor Elisabeth Von Uhl
160 Convent Avenue New York, NY, 10031
Dear Professor von Uhl:
My name is Simona Isakova, and I’m an aspiring software engineer who hopes to graduate with a computer science degree by 2026. This summer, I plan to work for a big banking firm and manage their databases and work as a data analyst. I also want to get a minor in mathematics because I’m very passionate about calculus and I enjoy solving problems. By the time I’m done with college, I plan to have a full stack in both frontend and backend programming, and I want to get digital certificates by taking online courses with my friends. My short-term goals entail finishing this semester with a 4.0 GPA and landing an internship at Goldman Sachs, all while being on the fencing team. I plan to take as many courses as possible each semester, and I will be taking winter and summer classes as well in order to graduate as soon as possible and land a good computer science job.
In the future, I plan to use my programming knowledge for cybersecurity in order to protect people’s personal information. I believe that in the future, the world will be threatened by cybersecurity attacks, and it will be very important to have competent programmers who are qualified and experienced enough to protect sensitive online information. This problem will be solved by future engineers like me who are passionate about big data. I also believe that future wars will be centered around hacking and cybersecurity, so people like me will be on the front lines defending our country. Hopefully this doesn’t happen, but if it does, I want to be prepared for anything that may happen so that my future is secure and intact.
Sincerely,
Simona Isakova
