Rhetorical Analysis Reflection Essay

My analysis of three lab reports exploring artificial intelligence illustrates the structure and flow of the reports and how they convey their experimental results in an organized and detailed fashion. These reports demonstrate the relevance of artificial intelligence in various fields such as predicting heart disease, improving human-machine communications, and image recognition. I chose these reports because I am an aspiring software engineer and I have always been fascinated with robots and AI, so I decided to explore this topic in the college database. Researching a topic I am interested in made this assignment a lot more fun and interesting to me, as I was able to compare difficult reports that I do not know much about with ease because the overall structure of these reports gives me a good impression of what I am reading about. This assignment has opened my eyes to the possibilities of AI algorithms and how to display data from these programs into various graphs and tables, which makes it a lot easier for someone like me to understand the overall results of these experiments.

This essay targets a specific audience that is interested in lab reports about artificial intelligence but is unable to understand the main idea of these reports. My essay highlights the importance of good headings and captions in order to explain the experimental data and algorithms, which can help someone figure out what these lab reports mean. This includes people with linguistic differences because they most likely will not understand all the terminology in these reports, so knowing how to navigate difficult readings through understanding headings and graphs will ultimately give the reader the main gist of what it is they are reading. This is an example of multimodal composition since I am able to use these reports to reach out to a larger audience and help them understand the results of experiments and reports intended for very small and specific audiences. This assignment has definitely helped me achieve the course learning outcomes because I have formulated a specific stance in my writing that supports my thesis of which lab report has the best structure, I have practiced using various library resources and online databases, and I have strengthened my sourcing skills by citing information from each report. Overall, this assignment has helped me improve my writing skills, and I am now much more confident in completing my next assignment.
